US Military Soldiers Remember Them This Christmas

It's a rare day when we agree with President Obama, but in this instance we share his sentiment:

President Obama is urging Americans to remember the troops during this holiday season.

"No one sacrifices more to preserve our blessings than our extraordinary men and women in uniform," Obama said in his weekly address.

The president noted the efforts of U.S. troops in Afghanistan, those helping train Syrian opposition troops and providing security in Iraq against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria and the soldiers helping the effort against Ebola in west Africa.

So this holiday season, as we give thanks for the blessings in our own lives, let’s also give thanks to our men and women in uniform who make those blessings possible," he said. "Even as some are coming home for the holidays, many more will be far from their families, who sacrifice along with them."

Yes, we absolutely should remember, and do what we can to support, the men and women serving in our armed forces.

At the same time, we must never forget our veterans, particularly those who are struggling to make ends meet even as they cope with the physical and mental injuries suffered in combat. You can help give these veterans a hand this christmas">Christmas by making a gift to the Coalition to Support America's Heroes.

Making a donation is easy. Just click here (link is external) and follow the instructions.

The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes provides emergency financial support to wounded veterans. No shuffling them off to other groups or telling them to call the VA. If a wounded veteran needs help, the Coalition provides it -- immediately and personally.

We hope you will consider making a gift to this incredible organization today...so they can give a vet who has sacrificed so much for us something to celebrate this Christmas.
