The moral outrage we noted earlier about Border Patrol efforts to end and ultimately disperse the migrant caravan's asault on the border was entirely predictable. But something else was, too: the re-discovery that during the Obama years, there were similar incidents at the border (including the separation of migrants and their children).
The pictures of would-be illegal immigrants running from tear gas used to turn back their assault on the U.S. border has, unsurprisingly, drawn outrage from the left. They focus on the children, but ignore the adults who put those kids in harm's way in the firts place.
There was much self-congratulating in New York City and Arlington, Virginia recently, when those two locations "won" the honor of having a new Amazon headquarters in their respective jurisdictions. While we admit to using Amazon frequently for purchases, we are still taken aback by politicians rushing to give the company billions of taxpayer dollars in order to seal the headquarters deals.
There's no question Democrats will run the House differently when they take over in January. Some of the changes won't make much difference. But one that's in the works would be a huge step backwards.
